Q: What are the fees and times?
Weekday programs typically run from 6:30 pm-8:00 pm
Weekend programs vary per the activity, but usually are 11:00 am-1:00 pm
Summer Camp days: 9:00 am-3:00 pm
Fees are posted prior to each scheduled activity

Q: How do I register for programs?
Instructions to register for all Candy’s Adventures programs will be located on the website or through partner neighborhood community center’s websites.

Q: Are scholarships available?
Summer camp scholarship applications are available upon request.
Scholarship candidates must complete an application in order to qualify for the evaluation process.

Q: What steps are taken if a participant suffers an injury?
Instructors who have CPR and First Aid certification & Certified trainers present during summer camp sessions will administer first aid, call guardians followed by more complete medical attention, if necessary.

Q: Can I volunteer?
Absolutely! Candy’s Adventures is always looking for female volunteers.
We also offer an “Intro to Coaching” workshop for women interested in becoming a coach or facilitator.

Q: Does the organization accept donations?
Yes! We accept monetary, supply, and equipment donations.
Due to our 501(c)(3) status, all donations can be tax-deductible.

Q: Can a 7yr old participate?
Yes. With parent’s permission or request—-and with the complete understanding of the level of structure and rigor within the programs.

All Candy’s Adventures programs are held at a safe, clean, well-supervised private location, neighborhood community center, or school.

Adventure Club

Q: What activities are offered?
Day hikes, bike riding, rafting/canoeing, rock climbing, horseback riding, overnight camping, and experiential education games

Q: How are participants transported?
Passenger vans and by parents

Q: What are the facilitator’s qualifications?
All Lead Instructors and Contracted guest instructors are experienced and certified.
All facilitators, coaches, and volunteers receive background checks.

Q: Is there a summer camp?
No, but some of the Adventure Club activities are included with the Girls Sports Academy summer camp

Q: Does the organization supply equipment?
Yes. Most equipment is supplied, or a “supply list” is included prior to the activity.

Girls Sports Academy

Q: When does it begin?
The GSA is year-round. The Summer camp is in June and July.

Q: How many programs can one girl participate in?
As many as she wants

Q: Is any prior experience necessary?
No — it’s helpful, but not necessary.
